The Cure Starts Now awarded KiraGen a $50,000 translational research grant to support CAR-T research for diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, also known as DIPG, and diffuse midline glioma.

The program supports the development and preclinical evaluation of gene-edited CAR-T cells designed to resist multiple suppressive signals in these pediatric brain tumors. It extends KiraGen's multiplex-engineering approach into diseases where more durable treatment options are urgently needed.

KiraGen is grateful to The Cure Starts Now and the DIPG and DMG community for supporting this work. Read the public grant summary.
