KiraGen is honored to welcome Donald M. O'Rourke, MD, the John Templeton, Jr., MD Professor in Neurosurgery at the University of Pennsylvania and director of the Abramson Cancer Center's Glioblastoma Translational Center of Excellence, as a scientific advisor.

Don is a neurosurgeon-scientist whose work spans glioblastoma biology, CAR design, local delivery to the central nervous system, and early clinical evaluation. His laboratory created the bivalent EGFR and IL13Ralpha2 CAR evaluated through intrathecal administration in recurrent GBM, building on earlier clinical work with EGFRvIII-directed CAR-T cells.

He will advise KiraGen on recurrent disease, repeat delivery to the brain, and the development of KGEN-001. KiraGen is excited to have his clinical and translational perspective as it works toward more durable CAR-T activity in glioblastoma.
